In this module, you will learn how to use the Box and Whiskers (Jan Pieter) Power BI Custom Visual. This is the first of two Box and Whiskers visuals that we will cover. The Box and Whiskers chart is used to show things like data outliers, clusters of data points and the volume of data between two extremes.
In this module, you will learn how to use the Sankey with Labels Power BI Custom Visual. The Sankey with Labels is a type of diagram that visualizes the flow of data between a source and destination columns. This visual is similar to the visual we showed in Module 28, but with a few key differences.
Power BI Service now has a newly added feature called Power BI Subscriptions. If you’ve worked with any BI, particularly Microsoft BI, you may be familiar with this idea. Wouldn’t it be great to have reports delivered directly to your email whenever things change in the data? Power BI Subscriptions allows you to have the information you need delivered to you right away, so you can see things as they update, instead of having to actively search for information or updates on your reports on the Power BI service.
As data platform professionals, our number one responsibility is to make sure that the data we are providing to our customers and users is available to them whenever they need it. The last thing we want to have happen is
for our business to lose a customer because their “highly available” data wasn’t available when needed or, worse yet, a datacenter-related disaster meant their data was lost and never available to them.
