SSIS Performance Tuning Tips and Tricks
On Tuesday we hosted the SSIS Performance Tuning Tips and Tricks webinar with James Phillips. He showed us how to tune up our SSIS packages to make them perform better, faster, and more efficiently.
Through demonstrations, we were given insight on what to avoid when setting up packages. James stated you could speed up the performance of your packages by avoiding:
Getting Started With SSRS 2012
What is SSRS? It almost sounds like a song from the Beatles but it’s not. If you are new to reporting, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) can look complicated. You will find in this video that it’s actually one of the easiest pieces of the BI stack to learn. SSRS 2012 has made some substantial improvements which are covered in this webinar.
On Thursday we hosted the Tabular and Power Pivot Feature Limitations webinar with Brad Schacht. He took us through the various Tabular and Multidimensional differences, as well as a work around for features that are not supported in Tabular. This webinar is sure to assist you in making an informed decision as to which product you want to use based on your needs to get the best information in your PowerPivot.
I can’t connect my package…never fear Brad Schacht to the rescue!
So you want to connect your SSIS package to Excel, SQL Server, Oracle and some Flat Files but you just can’t seem to get it to work. No worries! Our superhero consultant, Brad Schacht, will help break things down and show you how to make these connections one by one. Brad will show some of his super powers in ways that will assist you with using SSIS to do a simple data dump, how to keep tables in sync, and how to do incremental loads.
Which comes first the Chicken or the Egg?
It doesn’t really matter which comes first in this instance, it’s more about the egg. In this particular webinar Kathy Kellenberger is going to tell us how to cook our egg, in a matter of speaking. Let’s just assume that the webinar, “Get Started with T-SQL SELECT Part 1” teaches about how to take care of the chicken to get her to lay an egg.
“SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) it’s so complicated,” you say.
