Bad-Data-Stop-Sign-Graffiti.pngWe believe that bad data is an epidemic. The effects that bad data has on your business, your production and your decisions should not be taken lightly. In fact, bad data is costing organizations an estimated $3.1 trillion per year. Are you looking for a way to test your data to solve your bad data problems and help you gain confidence in your data?

LegiTest automated data-driven testing helps stop bad data by validating your results from development to production—giving you confidence in your reports. One of the number of tests LegiTest can do, and the most important test to get you started with this tool, is production testing.

Production tests ensure that the file value that comes in from a data source (SQL Server, Oracle, or a website for example) and goes through your development environment to your data warehouse, and ultimately into a report, balances from the report all the way back to its originating source.

This video demo will show you how to build a test from the ground up. It shows how to start in the development environment using LegiTest in Visual Studio, and how to build an end-to-end test for your production environment. It will also show you how to go to a webpage to show how your results look on the LegiTest Server, as well as in Visual Studio, to get a business user view.

Best of all, LegiTest includes automated testing. Stay tuned for future videos to show you how to do this and how to deploy those tests in multiple ways. We hope this video, and future videos, will guide you on your journey to automate data testing using LegiTest, and ultimately join us on our mission to stop bad data.
