Hi everyone! My name is Kim and I'm the HR Manager here at Pragmatic Works. It’s been a hectic summer for Pragmatic Works in the Jacksonville office and I'm excited to share a few updates with you. At the end of May, we moved to a brand new office about 10 minutes away from the old office. We were in the old office for over 6 years, so needless to say, there was a lot to move! Everyone pitched in and the move was a success. We are sharing space with another company, so it’s been nice seeing new faces and making new friends. So far, we’ve had a meet and greet luncheon, a potluck cookout and a ribbon cutting with a reception. Everybody seems to be settling nicely into the new office.
In July, we partnered with the United Way to help with their Stuff the Bus campaign. We collected school supplies for classrooms in need. We had a large box in the kitchen of our office for a few weeks. Once again, the employees of Pragmatic Works didn’t disappoint! They had to come half way through and empty the box and we filled it a second time. We were able to donate over 350 items, and a lot of them were bulk items. It makes my heart happy to work at a place with such caring and giving people!
As for the rest of the year, we’re organizing a team for a local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in October, doing a food drive for a local pantry around Thanksgiving and helping an organization or families in need at Christmas time. One of the things I like most about my job is getting to be a part of a company that tries to make a difference in all aspects of the community. I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
